Why bother getting it cleaned?
Tabletop grills get used hard and cleaned half-heartedly. After a few months of family use, the plates and channels are doing a lot more than just cooking.

Plates lose their grip
Once burnt-on grease hardens, your spatula scrapes the non-stick coating off with it. Food sticks more, you scrape harder, the coating goes faster. Once it's gone, the grill's done.
Drip channels block
Fat is meant to run off into the tray. When the channels clog, it pools, smokes off the plate, and drips down the back of the grill — onto your worktop and into the electrics.
We re-season the non-stick
On coated plates we use non-abrasive methods only — no wire brushes, no harsh acids. Cast-iron plates get a deeper scrub and a fresh oil cure. Either way, it cooks like new.
